I needed to remove the pedal arms from my bike to tighten the center bearing so I did a little research before settling on this tool. I noticed a few negative reviews but decided given the price I'd give it a try. Two tools are included; one to pull out the pedal arms and the other to tighten the bearings. I can see where the lever puller can be problematic if you didn't tighten it properly or used small wrenches to turn it. The puller consists of two parts, one black, one chrome. You must FIRST unscrew the chrome part from the black part. Remove the Allen screw from the inside of the pedal arms, then insert the black piece into the same thread and fully tighten with a wrench. Then screw the chrome piece into the black piece until finger tight. I placed a large half-round wrench on the back of the chrome piece and slowly began to tighten it. When tightening, push on the center bearing while pulling on the pedal arm. I couldn't tell at first that the pedal arm was actually moving and I was worried about causing damage, but as long as you fully tighten the black piece the tool does the job. I have removed the levers from 4 different bikes and the tools work great. The levers were never removed from either of these bikes so I had to lean heavily on a wrench but it worked great.
