Worked great!. Drive not found in Windows 10 after fixing the problem

It's a common knowledge that portable external drives (which are USB powered) can sometimes be finicky about which USB ports connect them function. If you are having trouble seeing the drive on a desktop computer, it is generally recommended that you use the connector on the back of the computer (connected to the motherboard) rather than the front. I had an unused mechanical drive. from an old laptop that I put in this case. Despite the knowledge above, I could not see the drive on two different desktops running Windows 10. It was detected on two different laptops (also running Windows 10), no problem. The blue light came on but never showed up in My Computer, Device Manager, or when launching Disk Manager. I searched the web and found the following solution: Run the Windows Troubleshooter (type it in the search box). Then select Hardware and Devices / Run the troubleshooter. The machine detected a problem and told me to restart. After that, there was no problem recognizing any of the front or rear USB ports. By the way, there were no problems with opening the case, as in some reports. Hope this helps someone.
