Review on Hayden Automotive 678 Rapid-Cool 🔥 Transmission Cooler with Plate and Fin Design by Brandon Havlicek

I installed this on my 2011 Silverado work truck that did NOT come with a factory transmission cooler. Driving without a load, without towing, on 17 tires with steel rims, after 20-30 minutes of city driving I reached 190. On the Autobahn I would accelerate to 210. This also happens in spring and autumn weather, in winter it would be cooler. Then my trans blew up, loved the 4L60E and decided to install a trans cooler so it lasts longer. front center bracket in front of the radiator. Use the included kit and extra long hose. I also ordered a quick connect as another reviewer said and I'm glad it was very easy. The cooler installation took longer than the hose installation and tie-in. I was afraid to mess with the transmission lines, I felt I would damage them. I also had to bend the factory transmission line brace inward on the side of the engine to get the new angle to work. You'll see when you install it, just bend it with pliers after unscrewing the nut, then tighten. So now I have a 4" lifter, a 33 bfg KO2 and 18" wheels. I also removed the choke under the front so I did a lot not to help with transmission cooling. In 95 degree weather, I maxed out at 170, which means stop and go, turn the AC on or off, stop and go in traffic or on the freeway. .Not usually a hot humid day, I won't be over 150 no matter how hard I drive when I'm cruising on the freeway. When I'm on the freeway or not stopping and driving, 133 or below is my temp. So yes install one of these if you are like me and I do NOT have a freaking original transmission cooler thanks GM as this will save your transmission a great deal. Hope this helps someone in this matter. It was an easy install and I wish I had installed a transmission cooler of any kind beforehand. Good Appetite.
