Top Quality Engine Cooling & Air Conditioning

I originally ordered a B&M radiator for my 2012 Honda Odyssey but when it arrived the build quality (made in Mexico) was terrible and it was returned. See this review for more information. I ordered this Hayden and hoped for the best. It arrived today and WOW! amazing quality. Made in Australia! NOT Mexico, China, Taiwan, Indonesia etc etc. Perfectly aligned fins, brazed/soldered perfectly flat, lays perfectly flat. The cooling fins between the panels have microfins and appear to be the best in

Installation went well, no problems.

Fits like a charm, no problem after hauling a 5x8 U-Haul through the southwestern desert this summer. I installed this on a 2nd generation 4 cylinder Toyota Tacoma. I was only towing about 1800 pounds (half the maximum payload of a T2R-FE 4-cylinder) and most told me it probably wasn't absolutely necessary, but I didn't want to risk sending my valuables across the desert by car. Trucks with high mileage. I only used the included foam pads and zip ties for the installation as I didn't have the…

Why not? Why didn't I understand that earlier?

Works great! By measuring the temp with a digital infrared surface temp thermometer, my ATF stays at around 115-145*F on the coolant return. Don't buy a separate Hayden install kit, it was useless on my 01 taco. Search the web for installation guides, there are several, some are better and may be more applicable to other mods than others. But generally you will have to move 1 of the 2 horns and either drill or screw on some frames for support, but it's not as bad and easier than it sounds. The…

Good quality, easy to assemble and a must have for some cars!

I bought this transmission oil cooler for a 2007 Nissan Frontier, not because I tow a trailer or haul heavy loads in it, but because this and several other Nissan models are notorious for being made of flimsy plastic. Radiators becoming brittle and cracked, allowing antifreeze to enter the transmission, necessitating a major overhaul, essentially a complete rebuild or replacement of the transmission and flushing of the engine cooling system. Installing this radiator bypasses the vehicle's…

2011 Silverado WT for parts

I installed this on my 2011 Silverado work truck that did NOT come with a factory transmission cooler. Driving without a load, without towing, on 17 tires with steel rims, after 20-30 minutes of city driving I reached 190. On the Autobahn I would accelerate to 210. This also happens in spring and autumn weather, in winter it would be cooler. Then my trans blew up, loved the 4L60E and decided to install a trans cooler so it lasts longer. front center bracket in front of the radiator. Use the…

best size for light fanless mode, easy installation

Just enough cooler for my Acura MDX without stock cooler. I made some aluminum brackets so the cooler doesn't rest on top of the AC condenser. An aftermarket temperature sensor peaks at 65°C during heavy Florida traffic. If I had to do it again, I would choose 679 one size up just for a little extra insurance. The road temp gauge hit 82C, no towing, flat terrain, and of course, air conditioning on. it's 180F and within 10 degrees F of most transmission oil limits. For the next vehicle I will…

Acura MDX 2nd Generation Installation

Good quality product installed on a 2011 Acura MDX. I followed the MDX installation video guide provided by a well-known internet trailer company, but they used a different manufacturer's transmission cooler. I used the Hayden because I put the Hayden in my last car and drove it thousands of miles with no problems, plus it was a lot cheaper and virtually identical. A few pointers for those looking to fit a Hayden 678 on a 2nd gen MDX (probably applies to the Honda Pilot as well, but not sure):…
