I never write reviews but after reading so many mixed and confusing reviews on this and other cleavage scissors I felt compelled to do so. it will be such a test. Mine were very old, they were my grandmothers. They started simply shredding or folding the fabric instead of cutting it. Sharpening them would have cost me more than replacing them, which isn't entirely critical, but when the plastic handle broke they became really useless. Fiskars but they are a lower brand, can't remember the name. They cut worse than the pair I replaced! You just cut paper. So I don't know why they were sold as fabric scissors. Since Joanne had no other items to trade, I checked Amazon. Each couple had mixed reviews! So I don't know if some of the people who gave a good review just cut paper or something. I rolled the dice and ordered these Gingher scissors. BUT I carefully chose which seller I bought from. I bought from Zipperstop which I know is a legit sewing supply store in NYC. My scissors arrived in two days, I don't even have a primer! They were brand new, made in Italy, not factory made. They cut like a master through several layers of different types of fabric. I highly recommend these scissors and zipper as a seller. Hope this helps you!
