Review on πŸ”’ Enhancing Performance: Moeller Gasket and Screws for 621600 Powerfully Seal and Secure by David Silva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked on my old Tempo tank

This is being offered as a reference only for what I found and did when replacing the gas sensor/gas gauge tank body gasket on my 13 year old plastic Tempo Model 9 Gas (7th Gen). .5 gallons) The tank began to leak due to cracking and becoming brittle. 626100 was identical to my gasket, and as another reviewer noted, the screws that came with it were longer than the original screws. I used 621600 bolt washers with my old bolts. The 621600 gasket was snug against the edges of the sensor arm and I suggest double checking that the gasket isn't partially hanging off of that arm and that the gasket is perfectly flat against the sensor/sensor body. For what it's worth I have always used a proprietary fuel stabilizer/ethanol additive and the tank and the rest of the fuel line/carburetor/components are in excellent condition and I was puzzled as to why the original gasket was so badly damaged.
