installed in E450 RV (rear). Can't really tell if they helped much compared to the original (35000 miles) shocks on a recent ride of 3000+ rides. The only problem with doing it yourself with the car on the ground is installing the bottom bracket - you have to be very strong and very coordinated at the same time or find a way to raise the frame by about 3 inches so the bracket can go in Get Bolt Installer. I inflated the RV's rear airbags to a maximum of 1.5 inches, then used an inexpensive hydraulic jack to raise it even further until I could get the bolt in. The instructions say some torque settings but don't use them above. With this shock, simply tighten the locknut until the bushings begin to protrude - do not tighten beyond the diameter of the washer. I tightened the bottom screw. I recommend watching the YouTube video if you want to see how to do it.
