UPDATE: After 6 months of use, my original stick cases started slipping constantly. The opening under the lids became oval instead of round, probably due to prolonged use. Luckily my second pair stayed intact so I replaced the old ones with the second pair and I'm good as new again. To be honest, a year with both couples is still a lot. Using sticks without a sleeve becomes very uncomfortable once you get used to it. I will definitely buy them again when my second pair wears out. My PS4 controller started causing pain in my thumb after prolonged use, a symptom of concave thumbsticks. I have no idea why they stopped bulging the sticks like all previous Playstation controllers. The old controllers were much more comfortable. Anyway, I figured some thumb grips would help. Luckily they helped. To put them on, simply flip them over and line them up with the top of your thumbstick. Flip it back out and it "snaps" right onto the joystick. I noticed a big difference after putting them on. Thumb pain has been greatly reduced and thumb sticks are generally more comfortable. I mainly play FPS games which result in a lot of stick movements and never get loose. They don't even move from the stick. And you get two pairs for the price. Luckily I have a black controller and a blue controller so they match perfectly. My only complaint is that I would have preferred non-logo pens. The reason is that it is not always a uniform texture. It seems a bit strange if you're used to joysticks with a smooth texture on the top. However, you quickly get used to it. Other than that, they did a great job. I haven't experienced any loss of traction or slippage like others. If anything changes I will update my review. But right now I'm really happy.
