Review on Safe and Comfortable: Peg Perego Orion Front Mount Child Seat by Tommy Russo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A near-perfect fit. Hard filling, legs are set at an odd angle.

I have tried three different seats on my Scott mountain bike. 1. Ibert Safety Seat - This was the easiest to install and will probably grow the longest with my daughter, but lacked back support, shoulder straps fell off a lot, felt like a flimsy way of attaching the seat to the bike seat was greatly displaced as it was only connected to the steering wheel with a cotter pin. 2. Thule Yepp Nexxt Mini - This would be my favorite spot. It was so easy and well done. Unfortunately, the diameter of my front stem was too big for the bracket. Even if I could install it, the seat legs ended up right where my fork was. My bike just wasn't compatible with the seat. 3- takes me to the place of Orion. The third time is awesome. This place seems smaller than the previous two. I doubt I'll get that much use out of it. But the way it attaches to my bike feels extremely secure, it rises high enough to provide extra back support, it has built in suspension to absorb some of the shock. Shoulder straps stay in place. I do pat my knees a bit in this seat, while I didn't pat at all in the Ibert, but that doesn't bother me and I don't have to drive cross-legged. The cons I see with this seat are the padding is a bit stiff, it affects my ability to turn the handlebars and I don't like how the seat legs are rotated outwards, it feels uncomfortable to me and unnatural on. sitting a small child (well, really for someone who sits like that) but I figured the amount of time my daughter would be sitting in the chair didn't bother me too much. So I think I'll leave this place.
