This key fob is very durable and waterproof. It stayed under my car on gravel roads and many very rough country roads. In 4 years of use it has never fallen off my car! :-D However, there were two things that seemed difficult to me. 1. The keychain was difficult to open (almost impossible at times). 2. The magnet is not in the center of the key holder; it is at one end and the other end is left "free". Luckily where I placed it under the car there was a place I could squeeze the free end under the metal cross.
