I needed more crew socks. These have plenty of cushion for the heels and balls. I like the colors. But what I don't like is the toe seam is too thick, I can deal with that after wear and wash, it will get better. The alternative is worse. I was hoping these would maintain their stretch height on my calf but they do slide down some after flexing my ankle. I do like that they are mostly cotton. The washing instructions are confusing, in one area on the label it says hand wash and dry flat. But just above that it says machine wash cold tumble dry low. I will keep them because they serve my needs. So there you have it.Update: I have washed them in cold water and tumbled dry one pair and air dried the rest. The toe seam is softer after washing.(that applies to all pairs of socks) I just wish they would maintain their height after pulling them up on the calf.
