Review on πŸ”§ UPGRADED Ultra Durable W10195416 Lower Dishwasher Wheel by Blue Stars - Exact Fit for Whirlpool & Kenmore Dish Rack - Pack of 2 with STEEL Screws by Sean Castator

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The wheel assembly arrived on time and in good condition [see photo]. Updated 09/08/19].

UPDATED 9/8/19: Rating downgraded from 4 to 1 star. These wheels have now been assembled for about five months and the bolts are so rusted that the wheels no longer spin freely. I've supposedly bought "upgraded" wheel assemblies with newer stainless steel bolts, but the ones we received aren't dishwasher safe. While these wheels don't work as intended, I believe Kitchen Aid is to blame for this mess. If they didn't build such inferior cars, we wouldn't need to buy these poorly made wheelsets. Like many others, I grew up with Kitchen Aid dishwashers and older models have held up well for decades. We now have two Kitchen Aid dishwashers from the last six years and my MIL has one based on our recommendation (they work fine when you first install them but don't last very long). ALL of these dishwashers had major problems in the first 2-3 years (some earlier). Such companies should not exist. They say new cars are "greener" but that's a blatant lie. The extraction of raw materials, the production process, distribution and final disposal of these machines - with a much shorter life cycle than the old ones - cause much, much more damage to the environment than old machines that could consume little. more water and/or electricity. Sorry for the tirade, but our "throw away society" is my pet peeve. It's always difficult to review a product until it's been used for a while, but as long as these wheels work. They don't roll as freely as the original wheels, but if the wheels last longer it's worth the trade-off. I really appreciate that someone decided ahead of time to do something about the incredibly crappy Whirlpool (and related company) wheel assemblies. Thank you for trying to find a solution to an unforgivable problem that appears to have been created on purpose by the original manufacturer (presumably to sell a large number of wheel assemblies).
