Review on Triangle Group TR968 225/55 R17 101 year old by Michal Kucharski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall good, but I expected more, there are disadvantages.

It's time to write your own review. This tire set in size 225/40/R18 was purchased to replace the Hankook V12 Evo. I bought it for a beautiful drawing and a very low price compared to competitors + I also read reviews about it, no one wrote anything bad. I'll start with the good: rubber is sooo soft and very comfortable for our roads. At low speeds (in urban mode) driving is a pleasure. She swallows all the bumps and joints. Outwardly beautiful and the drawing looks very aggressive and sporty, but, as it turned out, this is only in appearance . Disappointment in rubber came at speeds above 80 km / h. The car began to behave like a jelly on the track. Informativeness was gone and the response to the steering wheel, too. Even with a little maneuvering at speed, the car starts to rock very strongly from side to side and it feels like the front and rear of the car live their own lives (this is taking into account the fact that I have KONI Sport struts, front and rear body stiffening strut + reinforced stabilizer ). The car has become an urban "vegetable". Rolls have increased and consumption has slightly increased (~ 1l) (apparently due to the fact that soft rubber creates more resistance on asphalt). On the Hankook V12, there was no hint of wobble or instability at high speeds, let alone cornering. Conclusion: rubber fully justifies its cost. It has no competitors in this price segment. I recommend betting on cars that are used 90% of the time in urban mode. All the best and good luck on the road.

Pros
  • Beautiful pattern, soft and comfortable, wear-resistant, low noise, and of course the price.
Cons
  • Too soft sidewall (described the consequences below)
