My neighbors and I had a problem with a coconut rug on the porch we share. As soon as it got wet, it clapped - it stayed wet for several days. Eventually we lifted a corner of it and found creepy critters underneath, in a comfortably humid sanctuary created by holding onto every drop of rain that had ever fallen on it. We don't want a microenvironment that's good for spooky portal crawlers because we don't want them to take the next step and move in with us. So, while my neighbors were away on vacation, I bought this very cozy rug and put it on the porch. They came home today and even with their jet lag they REALLY noticed the new carpet. They REALLY agreed that it's very easy and delicious to stand on and that its open ring design and non-absorbent rubber construction allows it to dry out between showers and therefore won't become a habitat for creepy crawling critters. They liked it and so did I.
