These filters are poorly made. The main filter doesn't fit well in the lid and gets stuck on the outlet when screwing it in, it took 4-5 tries to get it to seat properly. The upper secondary filter has a spike at the top, when installed in the lid, the spike slides towards the spike in the lid, which installs the filter at an angle rather than straight. I have bought $9 filters in the past and they have done a great job installing with no problems with these more expensive filters. Judging by the reviews, maybe I just got broken filters, but I doubt it.
