Good vibrations for wellbeing and relaxation

Update: it's been a few months and my tapper is still working fine. I use this every day. Update #2: A little over a year later it's starting to fail. The warranty was for one year, so it was. I sealed the end of the cable with tape and while it works I expect it to die any day now. MY JOB. I've done quite a bit of research on portable massagers and tried to find a strong enough one. I was looking for a replacement for my very old (18 year old?) Homedics PA-1H dual head massager. His vibration was quite strong, like it was then. It had high and medium variable speed settings and three different types of heads. It was quite heavy, about three pounds, so I wasn't too concerned about the weight once I got used to it. I also have a hand held massager from Medirub and have tried my mother's later homemedics quad core massager. I will compare with all of this. VIBRATIONS AND NOISE. Dual Tapper has a nice vibration. "Percussion" or "tapping" isn't really what it sounds like. In fact, there is no feeling that someone is knocking on you. It's more like a focused vibration. I find the vibration on the Dual Tapper quite pleasant. Its vibration is almost as strong as my old homemedics and the vibration frequency is actually higher which makes it feel softer. I also found the unit to be pretty quiet. I was reluctant to use another one when my husband was sleeping, even if I was in another room. With this massager, I will not feel such regrets. THE WEIGHT. It's a little heavier than my mother's later homedics, but I think a little lighter than my old homedics. I'm 60 years old and quite petite, 110lbs at 5ft 6in, but I've had no problem using it as pictured. But like I said, he's a little lighter than me. used to it so remember I'm used to being heavy (my old one was 3lbs). It's well balanced and the heads rotate a bit when you move the device, so that helps. QUALITY. I was immediately struck by the looks of the device even before I turned it on. It looks solid and well made. The only thing that bothers me is the OFF LOW HI switch. I think I have to be careful with him. It seems like the part is likely to break, if anything breaks at all. I don't miss the variable speed that I had with my old massager because I always set it to the highest vibration and left it there. I will probably only use the HI setting on this unit. You should also turn it off after each use. I just turn off the extension cord. The heads were easy to remove. They do need a little tugging and twisting, but it wasn't too bad and it wasn't difficult to put them on. You just click on them. I've tried all the heads but I don't think I'll be using them very often. The fingertips were a little intriguing, but the acupressure was a little painful. But remember, I'm pretty skinny. HOW TO USE. I know my biggest concern when buying a new massager is that it has a strong enough vibration and I think this one has it. I was not disappointed. I was able to use it on my shoulders, the base of my skull, and the muscles just above my knees and it was really good in all of those places. You can only use it for 15 minutes at a time and then you have to let it rest for 20 minutes. I'd rather be able to use it for 30 minutes like I did with my old one. I won't push this, however, as I suspect this may be why other buyers have had exhaust issues with their units from getting too hot. Oh, and I agree with other users that the cord is too short. If you are taller than me (5ft 6in) you will need an extension cord. I use it standing up with the cord plugged into an outlet on the floor and it barely reaches my neck and shoulders. The old Homedics had a 12 foot cord. It's less than half. Compared to my old homemedics, it has a smoother vibration, almost as strong, and the device is not that heavy. Compared to my mother's later Homemedics, I think the vibration is a bit stronger, but the device is a bit heavier. And compared to Medirub - well, nothing compares to this monster! It's so heavy that it can't hurt anything. through my legs and into my pelvis. It's a very powerful vibration, but it's also SUPER heavy. However, it has its uses. WARRANTY. It comes with a two-year parts warranty and a one-year labor warranty. I left more details about the warranty in the Questions and Answers section (see the link next to the customer review link at the top of the page). I bought it for $33 and after one day I am very satisfied. I will update this review if I change my mind over the next few months.
