You can color them in or even use a set of different permanent markers to personalize the tokens for each playable character (by adding their name) and because it's double-sided You can vary the design so that one side is vertical and nice and the other side is kind of "in the way": unconscious, lying down, etc. I also made three sets, each numbered 1 to 12 of the three uses a different color scheme, each side of which has "heads" and "tails". Now we can have tokens for up to 12 monsters of the same type with at least 3 different types of creatures. I also made a few pieces which I labeled "A" through "E" to represent various other characters, from friendly NPCs, special unique enemies, etc. However you choose to decorate them, I recommend strongly urge you to also apply clear coatings to protect the marker/ink from smearing or abrasion on any surface you use it on.
