has benefits 1. Games. purchased for Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. not sorry I did it. 2. A nice menu on the system. Not a thing more. 3. The hybrid. Although I mostly use it in portable mode, having the option to play from a TV occasionally is useful. Cons are: 1. Joycons have a long input lag, even in portable mode when connected to the console. Particularly noticeable when navigating game menus and the system menu. Nobody seemed to be aware of this somewhere I inquired, which means either I am married or I have heightened sensitivity to control delays. 2. Really awful buttons. They click incessantly and are tiny. It should be gently squeezed, similar to how full-size gamepads are. Even the PS3 buttons have improved greatly. 3. Unsavory sticks. They make it impossible to play shooters. 4. There are no analog triggers. 5. Materials are of poor quality, even when compared to the Nintendo 2ds XL, which is practically a 3DS on a budget.
