Runs small best when cycling

I have 2 more pairs for 5-10s freerider and trailcross. Trailcross is my favorite shoe for cycling and commuting. I'm a size 11 1/2 because my size 11 freeriders are a bit short. I really like trailcross, but I need a more durable shoe for colder conditions. I ordered 11 1/2 based on my experience with other 5-10 sneakers but I need 12 and I never wear 12. These shoes are really well made and the materials seem to be excellent. Tighter than Trailcross and less prone to waterlogging than Freerider. But despite the fact that the inside is small, they are huge on the outside. Soles are so wide! Off the bike, they're so big and stiff they almost look like ski boots. So it would be great for cold weather or the bike commute.
