When I first ordered this lamp I didn't pay enough attention to the description and was shocked by the size - this is a very small lamp and considering the price, I thought of returning it. But I was overwhelmed by his attractiveness and eventually left him. That turned out to be a good thing, as it actually provides just the right amount of "just a little light" when you don't want to disturb anyone or create an atmosphere. I dropped it once and the top detached from the base; I couldn't fix it. So be careful, it's quite fragile. But by this point I had gotten used to the little mushroom, as I call it, and had to buy a new one. So this is actually my second purchase. That being said I think $30 is a bit expensive for them. I think $20 or $2/$30 would be more appropriate as it's not something you use every day and one isn't enough to decorate - so one star is deducted.
