Review on 20W 36In Dimmable LED Under Cabinet Task Lighting, CRI>90, 3000K Soft White Wide Body Metal Base With Frost Lens by Antonio Cummings

The light fixture has a nice appearance and provides the under counter light that I wanted. I bought this LED fixture to replace a T5 fluorescent fixture. Most of these fixtures either fluorescent or LED have very similar designs an assemble and disassemble in the same way. They have a cover that encloses the internal wiring and a base that mounts to the cabinet or wall. The covers generally have a flat edge that is secured to the base by compressing the cover and sliding it into a slotted tab in the base. The problem with this fixture is the cover is difficult to compress. This fixture has a bad design! To disassemble the fixture it takes both hands to release one tab but you need a third hand to raise the cover above the tab so the cover can be removed from the base. To reassemble the cover to the cabinet mounted base required the use of a pair of channel lock plyers to compress the cover enough to slip into the base tab. I accomplished the task because I only had one light to install. If I had several of these lights to install, I would have returned the others. When I have to replace other T5 fluorescent lights, I will find another LED fixture brand.
