While I can tell from my use that they are good for their intended use in a medical setting, there are **many** ways to use them. I have several of these in different sizes. with different number of flags. Here's what I use them for: * Job markers. I write the to-dos/tasks that need to be done that day on the flags with a dryer/eraser pen and when they're done the flags are put in. * Board game stages tracker. Sometimes in certain games you need to keep track of what stage you are in and some players find it difficult to concentrate. This allows you to visually mark milestones and pop up flags when a milestone is complete so you don't have to explain it to people who aren't paying attention to everything that's going on in the game, whether we're at work or something have fun. Flags move easily and do not jam. They are easy to install. You CAN use a spirit level etc to make sure it's perfectly level, but I just set it up where I like it and then mark the screw holes with a pencil, plug the holes with a nail or screw, level the device again and hang it up .
