Brushed metal looks great and is very realistic. However, compared to smooth 1080 vinyl, this material is a bit more difficult to work with, as it easily and unexpectedly tears along the grain. You really only want the squeegee with the grain, not over it. Running over the fiber with significant pressure will abrade the material and even with a heat gun it won't come back to normal. This material is also prone to "splintering" and appears rough along the cut lines. If you can hide the cuts within the seam of the panel being wrapped, no problem. But sometimes the gap is not enough and a visible cutting line is needed. In these cases, if you look closely, you can sometimes see a jagged edge. I have this situation on my dashboard. I was able to hide the edge from anything but very close inspection by drawing a thin line along the edge with a black marker. In any case, applying this material requires more time and attention, but it looks very beautiful.
