This is a pretty good monitor with good viewing angles, colors and contrast. However, there is a high-pitched hum that doesn't bother me much as I can hardly hear the sound at the moment, but it can be very annoying for children and young people. Adults (I believe 11kHz). The howling gets louder as the brightness decreases. I'm also not sure if it doesn't flicker. At low brightness, slow motion shows some light/black bars scanning the screen. With normal 30fps video, the brightness sometimes changes between frames because the scanning and CCD cameras are different. So it's flickering faster than it should be visible (e.g. hundreds of Hz), but I'm wondering if the same areas of the screen are dark across multiple scans because it definitely feels like it's flickering at low brightness. My other LED-backlit monitor doesn't even flicker in slow motion. I would not recommend this monitor if you are using it in a poorly lit area as it is very bright at full brightness.
