Practically useless. I have tried this collar several times with my deaf puppy. I don't want to use a stun collar so I think this is the way to go. She ignores it completely, even if the vibration is set to the highest level. I also found that every time I used the receiver, it seemed to "disconnect" from the transmitter and stopped vibrating. No wonder my pup is confused. Today we have an appointment with a trainer and he suggested trying a vibrating collar again. Now I can't even get the receiver to charge. Called support and was told a "really simple fix" was to bend the piece of metal in the charging port for better contact. This might be easy if I had a tiny asterisk screwdriver handy, but I don't have one. The support rep said it's a "kind of maintenance" for things like this, but it's not mentioned anywhere in the troubleshooting section of the user guide, and if so, it would be nice if they made it easy to work with ( z normal Phillips screw). Completely disappointed in this collar.
