Disconnects DC from mains - Stops transformer hum

I have a problem with my 2007 ATI amplifier. This amp has two huge toroidal transformers inside, and they often buzzed. The hum came in waves and was so loud it was clearly audible from the sofa, and when listening to vinyl it was reflected through the player. The hum is caused by DC current in the network, which saturates the transformers. After I installed this device, the noise was greatly reduced. Sometimes I still hear it very faintly when I'm very close to the amp but not from the couch and it doesn't bother listening anymore. Given this improvement, common mode filtering should suffice. The case is well built, it feels lighter than it looks but the connectors feel solid enough. The two switchable rows are useful, I have the amp and subwoofer in one row and the preamp and sources in the other row. The voltmeter is turned on with the switch in the 1st row. It can be a little light, but you can always cover it with something or turn it upside down. The unit says it's 240v, I use it on 120v in the US and it's fine. and it solved my problem, I highly recommend it.
