Best bang for the buck!

[Overview] This is an amazing projector in its class (read: price range). It can do a lot in a small package and with minimal impact on your wallet! I've only been using it for a few days but have tried it myself and so far I'm very happy with what I've found. One important warning: this is my first projector so I don't have a screen to use it with. This obviously affects the picture quality and I have taken this into account in my ratings and reviews. Unpacking and setting up this unit was very easy. You should play around with the color settings to make sure you have the right settings for your use case. The case is well made and looks great too. Because the projector is fairly compact, it can be safely stored under a coffee table when not in use without looking bulky or out of place. I tested this projector with HDMI input only. I first tested it on my Nintendo Switch and I liked what I saw. The image was of good quality and the colors were fairly accurate. For this test, I had the project about 6-7 feet from the wall and below the image projection plane, so the projector was pointing at an angle. This led to focusing problems. I realized that the problem was caused by Keystone Correction. When the project was flat and keystone correction was minimal, the projector's focus was excellent, no problem. As soon as I set up the projector at an angle, I saw clear blurring at the lower edge. For later testing, I plugged in my Chromecast Ultra and launched a few Google Stadia games. At this point I had the projector 16 feet from the wall and was holding it flat on top of a stack of boxes (improvised setup for now). This was the best use case for me. Got massive projection (about 200 inches diagonally) and very good picture for watching videos. The game's details weren't great, and I didn't expect them to be at this distance and screenless. I watched a few episodes of a TV show I just started (The Developers on Hulu) and it was great! I think this is the most common use case for me and this projector will serve me well for that! Pros: Low price Compact with carrying case Front and rear IR sensors Easy to use Good image quality Cons: Keystone correction really messes up focus Remote control battery compartment is weak (doesn't come with batteries either). Overall I don't think this product could be any better at this price point. However, be aware of the keystone problem. You'll probably want it to be a bit higher and possibly behind you to avoid focus issues and not have a stand (or stack of boxes) in front of you when you're looking at something.

Pros
  • REMARKABLE CLARITY AND BRIGHTNESS
Cons
  • Not sure
