Review on Phanteks Halos Digital 120Mm PH FF120DRGBA_BK01 by Eric Ross

important difference between 3 different models

UPDATE 10 MONTHS AFTER: Colors now have a strange yellowish green tinge and can no longer turn white. Pure blues, greens and reds look fine, but white is totally wrong, and magenta looks more reddish/orange. I think maybe the white color channel is not working. I definitely expected it to last longer than this one. INITIAL REVIEW: There are 3 different versions of this product and I had a hard time spotting the differences. So here they are: PH-FF120RGBP_BK01 (Halos RGB) is the cheapest version. 18 LEDs, non-addressable, plastic housing, standard cord, no braid. PH-FF120RGBA_BK01 (Halos Lux RGB) is a mid-level version. 18 LEDs, addressable, aluminum housing, braided/braided cable. PH-FF120DRGBA_BK01 (Halos Lux Digital) - Premium version, 30 addressable LEDs, aluminum housing, braided/braided cable. I have the latest version, Lux Digital. it really feels premium. beautiful, heavy and solid. A diffuser ring that diffuses the light works well, although you can still see individual bulbs when the diffuser is visible. If you look at it from an angle that only shows the light shining on the fan and not the scattering, the light is almost completely scattered and you can't see the individual lights. it is also still very bright and visible even on a black fan. very satisfied with quality and color.
