Review on FlipBelt Zipper Acrylic Summer Small by Janet Winn

This travel belt was well designed and did exactly what it was advertised to do BUT I have rarely used it in practice. It was too heavy - the elastic is quite thick and the belt construction is four layers, making it thick and heavy. If I had no choice I would continue to use it, but I had another strap from a different manufacturer (AVANTO) that was lighter and I was drawn to this strap every time. I also found the zippered pocket approach in the center of the belt impractical for use when traveling (too hard to get into the pocket if you need a credit card or cash). As a travel belt, this is problematic - someone needs an inconspicuous place under clothing to stash passport, credit card and cash. It was too thick and therefore visible to potential pickpockets sizing up the tourists. Where I was in South America it was inconvenient as theft is rampant. On the plus side, this belt can be useful for runners who aren't interested in a low profile but want a safe place to store a few important valuables. (Driver's license, credit card, some cash). It could certainly be comfortable if it weren't under clothing.
