Update: 8 months old and still works if you break your fingers pressing the buttons. Even then, you need to press hard and hold for a few seconds. Very frustrating. While it seemed like a win for the price, we'll now have to look around for a better remote. Disappointing. On Sunday we adopted a new dog. On Thursday she was chewing on the original remote control from our Toshiba Fire TV. Using the Fire TV app on the phone made watching possible but annoying so this remote saved the day and was ready to go. I put in two AAA batteries, turned the TV on and it works fine. Thank you!
