This remote sucks, it won't connect to the TV until I press the buttons a billion times. I think it should reconnect to the TV every time I press the idk button. I got this as a replacement and it has only made using my TV that much more frustrating. Don't buy this remote just download the stupid app because you shouldn't have bought it.

After months of use, you have to press the buttons damn hard for it to respond to a command. It's not about the batteries as we have used several new batteries from different brands for several months to fix them. It's already programmed, which is handy, but if you have to click your finger to get it working, then what's the point.

New remote left (old right). Annoyed that my new Toshiba TV remote stopped working after less than a year. The new remote works great! I unpacked it, put the batteries in and it worked right away. Very happy with this purchase - the only difference is that the new primote doesn't have a voice control button. But for the price you need it!

I ordered these because the remote control that came with my Toshiba TV when I bought it (2 years ago) showed sticky key syndrome. It still works and I hung up on it (in an emergency) but now I mostly use it. I agree with most people that sometimes you have to press the buttons more than once to wake up the remote and then perform the function, but if anything it's just a minor annoyance and not a deal breaker. Update: 8 months old and still works if you break your fingers pressing the buttons. Even then, you need to press hard and hold for a few seconds. Very frustrating. While it seemed like a win for the price, we'll now have to look around for a better remote. Disappointing. On Sunday we adopted a new dog.
