Very warm and ingenious is that the cuff unfolds to tuck extra material into the sleeve to keep the gloves tucked in and difficult for kids to remove. However, the fluffy lining is not attached to the inside of the glove and is slightly pulled outward when the glove is removed. It's a little tricky to put back on properly (my 30 year old hands are a little too big to smooth the lining in toddler gloves) but overall the warmth the gloves provide is worth the little effort. Well, it's definitely not waterproof. Anyone who says they've used them in the snow must have been in dry, loose, rocky mountain snow, not wet, slushy northeast snow. These things get wet very easily.
