Installed the light according to the instructions and I felt that the control receiver unit was heating up (everything worked fine, the colors changed when I changed the remote) so I unplugged it and checked all the wiring again but everything was fine. I've had many attempts to figure out what was wrong so I called my friend who is an electrician to help me figure out what was wrong, he ran a diagnostic (voltage, amps, current, wire size etc) and even let him scratch his head why the device is getting so hot so he said i have a broken device so now i want to thank you for the inconvenience and now i'm stuck with an expensive led strip which is junk and not working.
