Okay I only picked this because it has a built in cable and I'm sick of my current outer case detaching from a loose cable when it so is moves even a little bit. I have to say I'm impressed! The product seems really durable. The instructions are in SMALL print, but hardly necessary because it's intuitive: split halves and insert disc, assemble and fasten with screws (screws and screwdriver included). Inside is a foam pad that absorbs shock and holds the disc in place, and the pad is positioned correctly in relation to the part of the drive it sits on (it doesn't press on the round part of the disc). The drive installed immediately and I did a preliminary drag and drop test with a gigabyte video file and the transfer speed was good. The built-in cable is a ribbon, not a cable, so I'm confident in its durability.
