I recently bought my second Epson Expression Premium XP-820 Wireless Color Photo Printer XP-820 with scanner, copier and fax. The first failed after 19 months of continuous operation on 3 networked computers when all the printheads were dead and could not be cleaned. The ink that gets removed when the printheads are cleaned has to end up in some kind of reservoir that eventually fills up, so I think that's what happened. But I was so pleased with the performance that I bought another XP-820 and kept the old one as an extra scanner. I like that it can automatically print on both sides, including either the long edge or the short edge, without manual intervention. Scanning and copying can be done either by hand loading onto the glass or by using the ADF with any combination of 1 or 2 sided with 1 or 2 sided. And the scanning can be initiated either on the printer or on the computer. Paper jams are rare but easy to fix. The wireless connection makes it easy to take the printer with you and move it closer to the computer that uses it, which is especially useful when you're scanning on glass. The wireless connection is easy to set up. The ink cartridges that come with the printer are low, but you will soon be able to upgrade to high-yield ink cartridges.
