I am using this amp to drive a 1990 Bose Acoustimass 3 passive subwoofer with a 5-1/4" driver. The driver has two 8 ohm coils, so I connected the inputs in parallel to give the amp a 4 ohm load I'm shocked at how well this setup works I have a 15" 200 watt Sony subwoofer in the adjoining corner of my living room and down to 40Hz this little beast keeps up with it Sony with. Very good transient response. This can cause the room to resonate with the Sony subwoofer off, and that listening area is probably three times the cubic foot recommended for such a small sub. I have no idea what the RMS performance is is I bet it's 50W or less but that's enough for a tiny Bose sub at my listening levels which rarely go above 85dB Class D is good Keep cool doesn't use much power I have a few negatives E Experienced as other reviewers have mentioned. When I hooked it up to the Kinter K2020A+ amp, there was a 60Hz hum coming to the subwoofer. It doesn't matter if he was around Kinter or not. Then I noticed that the hum went away as I grabbed both amps in my hand. A jumper between the chassis screws on the amps fixed this. The power LED is ridiculously bright. It took 4 coats of tape to tame. It would be nice if it had a power button separate from the volume control so you don't have to fiddle with the volume control every time you turn it on (on my 2-sub it doesn't sound right unless both subs are on par). But that's a minor complaint. Plugging into a switched power strip does that, along with some of my other stuff. Let's see how long this lasts. If the 18-month warranty runs out by a few years, that's good.
