I'm trying to remove a stuck bolt on one of my rear shock absorbers. I've tried all other recommended methods in these situations with no success. As a last resort, I wanted to try this induction heating tool. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to remove the bolt with a tool because it doesn't heat up enough. I've tried leaving the tool on the bolt (both on the head and on the back where the threads are) for 30, 60, and even 90 seconds, but the tool just produces useless, toxic smoke. The bolt never got red hot which means the tool will not work as advertised. I'm not sure if the device I received is faulty or if the tool just doesn't generate enough heat for its intended purpose. Whatever the reason the tool didn't work as advertised, I returned it immediately.
