Not recommended. The name is misleading as I thought both outputs were connected to a timer, but the timer actually only controls one. The other directs the energy directly to use with something you always need. It's not really a problem as you can just use a splitter if you want more things to be hooked up to the same timer. The real problem is that my timer no longer skips the power supply. The timer runs and runs, but the electricity no longer comes through. The outlet is still good because I can switch modes to always provide power, but the timer just keeps ticking and does nothing but mock me. Conveniently, this device stopped working 2 days after the return window. According to other reviews, this device actually lasts quite a while. It doesn't show the exact time, but I never expected something like that to be very accurate. I would just go to Harbor Freight and get a $5 timer that will probably last a few years, not this "aquarium grade" timer.
