Does not take long! the best musical toy
My son liked it when it actually worked. Bought for Christmas, worked for about a month. I assumed the batteries were dead, only replaced them to find the toy itself stopped working as some others here have said. I think you should have read the reviews first. Do not buy this if you expect it to last more than a month or two.
