This surge protector was acting strange when I plugged it in. The table lamp I attached to it had three levels of brightness plus OFF. The lamp would toggle between brightness settings and sometimes OFF without me trying to cause this behavior. Sometimes, when the lamp was on, a simple touch on the wooden tabletop would turn it off. When I connected the same lamp to a different surge protector (with a UL holographic sticker) I had no problems. Unfortunately, after receiving it, I tried to use this network filter for some time. So I couldn't return it within the return period. Otherwise I would return the network filter. Lesson learned: I will always use a UL certified product going forward.
