I have had several returned packages from the post office saying my package was too thick and I needed a non-machinable stamp. I could swear the package was less than 0.25 inches thick. I do not think so. So I ordered these and since then there have been no returns and I'm saving money by not having to buy a raw die at 20-30 cents a pack. This little tool has literally saved me hundreds. If you want something really precise, go for stainless steel as it's close to perfection. For basic stuff, that's all I need. Very important!
