Review on Seiko Prospex Samurai SRPB51: Stainless Steel Automatic Dive Watch - 200m Water Resistance by Laura Baker

Revainrating 1 out of 5

My rating is inaccurate

I bought this watch about 2 years ago and have been wearing it regularly ever since. When I first bought it, this watch was about 12-15 seconds behind in 24 hours over the course of two years, gradually slowing down significantly to the point where I don't trust it anymore. I have to introduce it 2-3 minutes and by the end of the week it loses 2-3 minutes. A time change of 6-7 minutes in a week is not good for me. An automatic watch can run fast or slow, but a quality watch should not drift 7-10 seconds in 24 hours. This watch does not meet this standard. I thought Seiko was quality, not fancy like an Omega or Rolex but at least accurate.

Pros
  • The watch arrived almost fully wound. I haven't lost a minute in two weeks.
Cons
  • The lugs are too long, causing the watch to protrude from the wrist.
