Review on Phanteks Halos Digital 120Mm PH FF120DRGBA_BK01 by Tyler Born

[LONG TERM TEST AND REVIEW] Good. for some time.

This is a long term review, six Phanteks Halos Lux Digital RGB frames were bought 1 year ago. in the packaging). [INSTALLATION] Simple, very simple. Routing the extra cables to hide them was a bit tricky and finding the right adapters to connect the bezels to the Corsair Commander Pro was a bit of a chore, but I can't deduct stars for my use case. [STYLE] It's subjective but I have to say I like the soft colors, you don't really see the individual LEDs through the frosted lens on the edge of the frame, just the colour. [EASY TO USE] Once upon a time there were the right adapters. Found adapting ARGB to Corsair connector, all went well. Easy to set up, the colors are true to nature. Well, at first they were accurate. [DURABILITY] That's where this product falls for me. For this reason I cannot recommend this product to anyone. Over time, the blue LEDs began to dim. At first I thought it was just me and ignored it. After about 6 months of use I realized something was wrong when I set all the LEDs in my system to pure white (#FFFFFF or 255, 255, 255). White. The G.Skill Ram stays white, everything else in the system is either yellow or pinkish brown. This also includes the built-in Phanteks LED strip. I temporarily connected one of the unused halos to the system and it showed all the correct color temperatures and worked as expected. That way I could verify that it wasn't hardware, software, or RGB headers. it was the LEDs that failed. [BOTTOM LINE] Nice even color, excellent brightness. at least for now. I've been emailing Phanteks for the past 2 weeks trying to replace these things. At this point, it starts to look like I just blew a lot of money. Do yourself a favor, save your money and look elsewhere.
