Review on πŸͺ’ Super Safety Razors' Chrome Stand for Straight Razors, Barber Razors, Cartridge Razors, and Long Handle Safety Razors: Ultimate Shaving Brush Stand by Julie Youngbear

Unique design and high quality at a reasonable price.

Most shaving brushes and shaving brushes available are a vertical "tree" in which the razor and shaving brush hang from brackets on the center post. This ensures compact storage, but there is always a risk that the item will accidentally fall off the "tree" and become damaged if it falls. However, this design keeps the razor and shaving brush at a lower height and angle. Each one is neatly secured with metal pins and really makes your shaving gear look very attractive and protects it more securely than a vertical stand. I don't know why this type of razor and brush stand isn't more popular. It takes up no more counter space than vertical shelves. (It measures about 3 inches x 3-1/2 inches.) One thing to keep in mind is that this type of stand is usually designed to hold a razor that is much longer than your regular safety razor. In fact, the hole in the razor's lower mount is designed to allow the razor's tail or "shank" to protrude and allow the body (scales) to rest on the upper prongs. When using this safety razor stand, be aware that it works best with those with longer handles. The distance (inside) from the top edge of the bottom bearing shell to the inside of the top tabs is only about 3 inches. So just make sure your safety razor has a handle that protrudes at least 3-1/4 inches below the razor head, otherwise the bottom of your razor handle may not reach the bottom support. However, there are many safety razors with longer handles, and razors with handles about 4 inches long (like the longer Parker models with "double-blade" ends) work perfectly. Please measure your razor's handle or read its specifications carefully online before purchasing to ensure it has the correct long handle for this stand. The razor holder is rotated slightly towards the lower support so that when the tip of the safety razor handle rests in the lower support shell and presses against its bottom, the razor head is just touching the upper teeth. You can also adjust the radius of the thicker curved razor pad to slightly shorten the distance between the pads. However, all this is done very simply and precisely with the help of a lever obtained with pliers, the jaws of which are well wrapped with tape so as not to scratch the chrome coating. Disclaimer: As with any chrome plated metal item, you should be very, very careful not to overdo the bending or the hard chrome plating may crack or come loose. The brush portion of the stand also holds the shaving brush very securely but makes it easy to snap off for use. The inside dimension between the top and bottom teeth is just over an inch and a half, and the horizontal distance between the teeth (the inside dimension) is even about an inch. These tapered "waist" grips work very well and match the tine set perfectly. Again, these tines can be carefully adjusted within reasonable limits to accommodate different sizes and shapes of brush handles. I cannot describe enough how attractive this stand is and how well it highlights your shaving gear. I would pay half the price for this stand as its unique style is so practical and effective, but as it stands it is just a steal. Customs Grip and Maggard Razors Synthetic Brush. Notice how I adjusted the teeth slightly so the razor fits snugly, the tip of the handle is held securely in the bottom shell, and the razor head is perfectly aligned with the top teeth.
