These towels make good sweat towels, no wonder, but they get the job done. However, I don't see them lasting very long. The label says these towels should be hand washed - not ideal for cheap sweat towels. I hand washed them before first use and am very glad I did. I bought black towels but when I hand washed them the water in the sink turned this disgusting brown color - not the color I'm used to from black paint washed for the first time. However, I washed them all quite thoroughly before I even wrung them out, one already had a hole between the edge seam and the towel. I don't think they would have survived a wash cycle without being completely ruined and hand washing towels and having to wait 2 days for them to dry is not ideal.
