At first I was completely fascinated by it. it was 24 hours ago. The zapper is effective at lighting the candles, and instead of the loud, grinding "zack" I was expecting, it's a quiet pzzzzz that my dog finds more interesting than disconcerting. Unfortunately it does not work. When it arrived it wouldn't turn on so I figured the battery was dead. Connected and it says the load is full. and then it worked. From time to time it wouldn't turn on and I could turn it back on knowing it was fully charged by plugging it in for a moment. After 24 hours it will now activate for less than 1,000 and then turn off. If I turn it off fast enough I can turn it back on, but once it's off it won't turn back on until I turn it off and on again. The problem of it not turning back on is also much more common. So I'm going to return it now and we're going to waste packaging and shipping because it has bad battery circuitry or logic, probably causing it to shut down due to overheating right after use. I haven't even had the chance to drop this yet, so durability=0. If they replace it and all goes well I'll update you.
