Size is the biggest downside of this food. This is best for 3 inch or smaller turtles. While larger turtles will eat it, the small pellets tend to disperse in the water and are difficult to find unless the water surface is large enough to accommodate the pellets. Granules are slightly larger than a pinhead (see photo). The ingredient list sounds good, which is why I feed it to my kids. But I dry feed this product in a bowl so my young turtles can easily find the pellets. They float, but like other Omega One aquatic turtle foods, they tend to cloud the water.
