Much more than I expected. As it looks, I had imagined it to be smaller. I didn't pay enough attention to the description. The handle is quite large and the grater fits in a small bowl. It's convenient, but I figured I could clean something by grating the husk and not have to put it on a bowl and grate with the husk. (I like to grate a little Parmesan into certain dishes while they're on the stove; there's no decent way to do that with this grater.) Other than that, it's a top quality grater. The part is strong and durable. It perfectly and effectively removes the peel from an orange or grates hard cheese. I think this brand does a great job with their kitchenware and this product is second to none in terms of quality.
