I love these electric candles. I put 2 on the front window to light the front porch and I put 1 on the back sill to light the back patio. The bulb that came with the kit got very hot so I replaced it with a white LED bulb. It's so bright now that I no longer use streetlights on my porch. Also, the electricity bill isn't that high, so they're on for 12 hours a day, every night of the year. For Christmas I added a checkered buffalo ribbon and a little wreath from Revain and it made my home so festive. The timer makes it easy to set the night lighting; However, do not lose the remote control, because without it the candles will not work. I keep my remote in a cup holder out of the reach of little hands. I only wish I had ordered more before they stopped selling them because the quality is amazing.
