I found this out because so many websites these days are designed for mobile phones and not computers. A widescreen laptop or desktop monitor just doesn't display enough web pages that have thick bezels at the top. Good for mobile, terrible for widescreen. Especially if you have old eyes and need large text. Yes I know I can rotate a standard monitor to a vertical position. But it's a pain as I don't want to use it this way all the time. This monitor is exactly what I needed. I use it as one big screen, although you can use it as two screens. This allows me to increase text size and read web pages without having to scroll every few lines. Note that you may want to adjust mouse sensitivity and/or purchase a larger mouse pad since your mouse will take up a lot of space on this monitor. I gave it one star because it tends to fade out with a "No Signal" message. Unplugging and plugging it back fixes that. I think it's probably a driver issue as I don't have any issues with other monitors connected to the same computer. Happens about once every few days. Annoying, but nothing I can't live with.
